The Cook Islands are 15 islands in Polynesia, flanked to the west by Tonga and Samoa and to the east by Tahiti and French Polynesia. Rarotonga is the center of the Cook Islands, encircled by a reef with a lagoon of turquoise waters and white sand beaches. Bamboo Technologies built 12 custom designed cottages.

NEWS: Bamboo houses stand up to 3 hurricanes
Bamboo houses held up against 173 mph hurricane winds and tsunami like waves, compared to nearby conventional wood frame resorts which were demolished.
Rarotonga Hale under contruction
The 12 Rarotonga Hales are arranged so the front decks have ocean views. They have thick thatched roofs. The many curved bamboo poles under the roof line and the beautiful interior woven bamboo walls make these hales very ornamental and exotic works of art. Rarotonga Hale costs and materials.
