Strong Bamboo Home Construction
Bamboo exceeds the strength of construction wood by several times. To satisfy seismic and hurricane requirements of international building codes, steel reinforced brace panels are used in each building. Wide roof eaves add weather protection and coolness. Hurricane braces with embedded steel plates are bolted to the root (rhizome) section of the bamboo.
